Glenn Ford was an American actor who was born on May 1, 1916, in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. He started his career in Hollywood in the late 1930s and went on to become one of Hollywood's most prominent leading men of the 1940s and 1950s. He appeared in over 100 films throughout his career, including "Gilda", "The Big Heat", and "Blackboard Jungle". He was also nominated for an Academy Award for his role in "Pocketful of Miracles" in 1962. Glenn Ford died on August 30, 2006, in Beverly Hills, California, at the age of 90.
